Washington should fight for a postseason spot in 2023-24, a place it has been 14 of the last 16 years. The Capitals are headlined by all-time great Alex Ovechkin. He reached 822 career goals last season, moving him to second all-time. Ovechkin continues his quest to become the top scorer in NHL history, sitting 72 goals behind the leader Wayne Gretzky.
